Introduction to Graduate Literary Study
Spring 2000
This course will introduce students to the study of literature
and culture at the graduate level: we'll not only consider
bibliography, book history, the history of literary criticism,
contemporary theory, and advanced research methods, but also look
at literary professions and the state of modern literary culture.
Students are encouraged to read Mary Shelley's
Frankenstein before class begins.
