The
emphasis in this listing is not to provide a complete
discography of Fats Waller's prodigious output, but
rather to guide viewers of this web site to a selection
of his most important, easily accessible recordings,
in addition to some recent reissues of Waller rarities.
The most complete
set of Waller's recordings available is a 19-volume
set on the Jazz Chronological Classics label issued
between 1992 and 2000. Of particular interest are
volumes 1 and 2 (Classics 664 and 674) covering the
years 1922-27 leading up to his Bluebird recordings.
The London Suite, excerpts of which are heard on this
web site, can be found on Classics 973 and London
Sessions (1938-1939) on EMI Pathe/Jazztime 251271-2
The bulk of the best-known
recordings by Fats Waller and His Rhythm and his solo
work can be found on eight volumes of his Bluebird/BMG
