Area Handbook for . . . . (DANA REF D 101.22 .A7 A4) Each handbook covers a particular country and its social, political, and economic structure in detail. Many titles are also available at the Library of Congress Website.

Statistics

The United Nations Common Database is a multi-disciplinary source containing data elements from more than 400 statistical series.

International Marketing Data and Statistics. (DANA REF HA42.I56) Detailed tables on the sales and consumption of products and services, by country. There is also a companion volume European Marketing Data and Statistics (DANA REF HA 1107 .E87).

UNESCO Country Profiles is a source of socio-economic data, covering education, literacy, libraries, broadcasting, and the media.

World Development Indicators from the World Bank include extensive economic, demographic, social, environmental, educational, and cultural indicators.

Selected international and national data sets (on population, health, and poverty) are available on the World Health Organization Website.
