For a quick profile of a public company's financial position, use one of the following:
"Annual Report Surrogates"
Among the many surrogates or summaries of corporate financial
information are these time-tested sources:
- FIS Online, the electronic version of the Mergent/Moody's Manuals. Dana Library has print volumes from 1901 to present; volumes for the latest year are on Index Table I. (Rutgers-restricted Access)
- Value Line Investment Survey. Dana Library has 1966 to
present; current issues are at the Reference Desk.
- Compact D/SEC on CD-ROM from Disclosure. Dana Library has
1988 to present; please see a Reference Librarian for details.
