Sources of Bond Market Information

Sources for Corporate Information

The Moody's Bond Record (in Business Reference) and its competitor, the monthly Standard & Poor's Bond Guide (Index Table F), provide corporate debt ratings and information on specific debt issues.

Use FIS Online to see if there are any "Corporate Bond Portraits" for your company. (Rutgers-restricted Access)

You can read the ratings definitions from Moody's Investors Service or see a summary table from Bonds Online for the four major rating agencies.

Sources for Similarly-rated Firms

You can refer to the Blue Pages in the Moody's Manuals, (Index Table I) which are very detailed, or use the sources for interest rates for yields by selected rating group.
