More Sources of Information
Encyclopedias and Other Reference Books
The Dana Library has both general and specialized encyclopedias. You
could these Reference works to find a description of some manufacturing
process, or the equipment used for a particular product.
- Try the World Book Encyclopedia (REF AE 5 .W55) for a start.
- Continue with the McGraw-Hill Encyclopedia of Science & Technology (REF Q 121 .M3).
- For chemical processes, look in the Kirk-Othmer Encyclopedia of Chemical Technology (REF TP 9 .E685).
- For pictures of specialized machinery as well as lists of manufacturers and distributors, use the annual Thomas Register (REF T 12 .T6).

Libraries Online Catalog, to find books on your topic (company, product,
industry).
Journal Articles
You can begin with
ABI/INFORM to search for articles on your company, product or industry.
There are many other periodical indexes
available.
