OVERVIEW

Spring weather In the age of electronic information, there are two ways to think about research. The first way is fairly mechanical and deals with protocols, interfaces, and which buttons to push. That side of research can be mastered fairly quickly for any given system or set of systems. The second way of thinking about research is more personal and can take longer to learn. The second way of thinking has to do with making sense of the research you do and using it in the world you live in.

This summer, we will be pushing a lot of buttons at first. Just remember that the point of the exercise is turning information into your own knowledge so that you will survive and thrive in the college environment. Good researching!
