- CASE is a Rutgers-based service learning program, " a comprehensive program that extends the principles of active-learning and civic engagement to all aspects of student life and learning at Rutgers" -- from the site.
- njserves.org
- "njserves.org, links all New Jerseyans in a single, virtual community. njserves.org connects individuals, government, civic organizations, elected officials, and corporations so that they can communicate and collaborate in building a better New Jersey." -- from the site
The njserves.org site provides resources for people who want to volunteer in their communities. This site was built and maintained by students in the CASE program (see above).
- United Way of Essex and West Hudson
- United Way maintains an online resource directory of affiliated area nonprofit organizations, searchable by zip code, city, service, or organization name. One of the items identified for each organization is "volunteer opportunity".
- Encyclopedia of Associations (Dana Reference Desk)
- Print version of data included in the Gale Ready Reference Shelf (below), but easier to use because it is more selective.
- Gale Ready Reference Shelf
- Click on Indexes and Databases. Select the Gale Ready Reference Shelf. Conduct an organization search. View available organizations and decide which are the most relevant and most important to you.
