Statistics: Secondary Sources

Rutgers University Libraries provide access to two significant databases that lead to statistical data from many sources. There are also some Websites with pointers to hundreds of data sets that are publicly-accessible.

Databases at Rutgers

* LexisNexis Statistical
LexisNexis Statistical unifies indexing previously available through three print products, the American Statistics Index, the Statistical Reference Index, and the Index to International Statistics. Full text or web links are provided for some citations, and the complete text of the Statistical Abstract of the United States is included in the database.
* TableBase
This database specializes exclusively in tabular data on companies, industries, products and demographics. Precise indexing and unique table titles make it easy to find and select the information you need. Find market share, company and brand rankings, industry and product forecasts, production and consumption statistics, imports and exports, usage and capacity, number of users/outlets, trends and much, much more.
