- 3 - Herschel Evans at 100: The tenor saxophonist who was Lester Young's sparring partner in the classic Basie band died at not quite 30 but left a living legacy, sampled by Dan Morgenstern.
- 10 - Good-Bye Dick: Bill Kirchner hosts a memorial program for trumpeter/author Richard Sudhalter, who died September 19, 2008 at the age of 69.
- 17 - Willie Nelson Jazz Roundup: Tad Hershorn surveys the jazz-influenced recordings by singer Willie Nelson including his recent collaborations with trumpeter Wynton Marsalis and Western Swing group Asleep At The Wheel.
- 24 - A survey of Kenny Graham: John Clement introduces us to the music of this excellent British tenor saxophonist from the mid 50s.
- 31 - Fifty-Plus Years of Bossa Nova: the Instrumental Groups presented by guest host Simon Rentner.

- 7 - Vision Festival 14: Annie Kuebler presents her annual salute to this New York festival of improvised music which runs from June 9th to the 15th.
- 14 - Niewood Memorial: Gerry Niewood, the saxophonist/flutist who was killed in a plane crash on February 12, 2009 at age 64, will be remembered by Bill Kirchner.
- 21 - The Hottest Fiddler of them All: Stuff Smith, whose centennial this is, was literally electrifying and may well have been the hardest-swinging of all instrumentalists, as Dan Morgenstern will attempt to prove.
- 28 - Chick Webb at 100: Vincent Pelote honors the centennial of the phenomenal drummer and his great band who ruled the roost at Harlem’s Savoy Ballroom during the 1930s.
July 2009
- 5 - The Twentieth Annual Honking, Shouting and Screaming Show: host John Clement plays some jazz-flavored R & B goodies.
- 12 - Some Singers I've Known": Bill Kirchner presents an hour of ballads (one each) by David Allyn, Andy Bey, Jackie Cain, Ann Hampton Callaway, Chris Connor, Ethel Ennis, Jim Ferguson, Carol Fredette, Anita Gravine, Sheila Jordan, Anita O'Day, Daryl Sherman, and Ronnie Wells.
- 19 - Chiming in on Benny's Centennial: Dan Morgenstern shares some of his favorite Goodmans.
- 26 - Salute to Sal: Join host Vincent Pelote and guest Don Messina as they survey the career of revered pianist and teacher Sal Mosca, who died July 28, 2007.

- 9 - Pianist Steve Kuhn - Bill Kirchner surveys the rich discography of a musician with a personal style.
- 16 - John Kirby and Ben Webster: 1935-1951. Starting with Roy Eldridge and Billie Holiday and concluding with Maynard Ferguson and Benny Carter, these two great jazzmen made many classic recordings together, and few remember that Webster played in the famed Kirby Sextet in 1944. Join Loren Schoenberg for an evening with a classic bass/tenor saxophone pair.
- 23 - The Jazzy Side of Lena Horne: Dan Morgenstern hosts James Gavin, author of a new biography of the great lady, who's promised some audio surprises.
- 30 - Jess Stacy: The Quiet Man of Jazz. Host Annie Kuebler on the great pianist perhaps best known for his stay with Benny Goodman, but with much more to offer.
