January 2013
- 6 - Picks of the Year, Part 2: Host Dan Morgenstern (with input from Archives co-hosts) offers personal best recordings of 2012.
- 13 - Time Out: Dave Brubeck and Paul Desmond. As a tribute to the late Dave Brubeck, who died last year, host Vincent Pelote will play selections from recordings featuring the pianist in collaboration with alto saxophonist Paul Desmond.
- 20 - Adventures in Hendersonia: The Dixie Stompers. Vincent Pelote plays recordings by the Dixie Stompers, a small recording unit from the Fletcher Henderson Orchestra, whose recordings for the acoustic Harmony label showcase the talents of Tommy Ladnier, Charlie Green, Coleman Hawkins, Fletcher Henderson, Don Redman and others.
- 27 - Leroy Walks!: Leroy Vinnegar was a prolific bassist who played and recorded with Stan Getz, Shorty Rogers, Herb Geller, Teddy Edwards, Joe Castro, Chet Baker, and a host of others. Joe Peterson explores the music of this fine bassist best known for his walking bass lines.

- 10 - Willie in Europe: Expatriate Willie Lewis, led a fine orchestra in Europe throughout the 1930s and 40s that included Herman Chittison, Benny Carter, Bill Coleman, Frank “Big Boy” Goudie, and others. Host Vincent Pelote will play some of the band’s most swinging recordings.
