- 20 - Viva Brasil!: Bill Kirchner samples the music of Brazil's Itiberê Orquestra Familia, an orchestra of twenty musicians led by composer-pianist-bassist Itiberê Zwarg.
- 27 - The Great Dane is 95! Dan Morgenstern's birthday tribute to fabulous fiddler Svend Asmussen, born 2/28/1916 and still swinging. (Only trumpeter Lionel Ferbos, 99, is older on the still-active jazz list).

- 12 - Benny Goodman's been gone for 25 years as of this date, so host Dan Morgenstern pays tribute with some not-so-common selections from BG's huge legacy.
- 19 - Dynamic Alto/Tenor Sax Pairings: February, 1959. Host Bill Kirchner plays music from two great saxophone encounters taking place in the same month: Cannonball Adderley and John Coltrane in Chicago, and Lee Konitz and Warne Marsh at the Half Note in New York .

- 16 - Rollins Revisted: Host Bill Kirchner presents different versions of Sonny Rollins' "Oleo", by Miles Davis, Phineas Newborn, Lee Konitz/Brad Mehldau/Charlie Haden/Paul Motian, and the monumental Rollins "Our Man in Jazz" recording.

- 6 - The Jazz Epistles, verse.1: Host Simon Renter examines Africa’s first jazz recording from 1959 featuring Hugh Masekela, Abdullah Ibrahim, and Kippie Moeketsi. First all-black band to release a commercial record in South Africa. Only 500 copies were made before it was buried for decades.
- 13 - The WDR Big Band in Cologne, Germany. Host Bill Kirchner takes a look at the music of this important European orchestra with guest vocalists Patti Austin, Fay Claassen, Kevin Mahogany, and Helen Schneider. Arrangements by Michael Abene, Bob Brookmeyer, and Bill Dobbins.
- 20 - Judy & Gerry: Loren Schoenberg revisits a classic 1961 jazz album by vocalist Judy Holliday and baritone saxophonist Gerry Mulligan, that lingered unreleased for decades.
- 27 - Better Than Stephane?: Though he died young (at 36 in 1947), Michel Warlop left a recorded legacy that just might back up host Dan Morgenstern's claim for this brilliant French violinist.
