Minutes would be sent via email to those who attended the meeting approximately one week after the meeting date. Correction may be made by email, and the approved minutes would be posted on the web page.
Old Business
Core List deferred until the next meeting.
New Business
State Document and WWW Site of the Year Awards: Chair passed to the members a list of all the documents and web sites nominated. The nominations are a good representation of sites available at the State’s homepage and documents distributed through the depository program.
Ellen Bonacarti and Shirley Knight agreed to serve on the sub-committee to review the nominations with the chair. They will communicate by email and will each individually rank the nominations. The top-ranked site and document will then be selected for the award.
The Chair mentioned that it is sometimes difficult to choose between the top-ranked nominations, which is why a consensus of the three sub-committee members is usually the deciding factor. Discussion followed about the possibility of a list of nominated documents to be added to the award winners, sort of a "notable documents" list. This list could also be added to the DANJ web site. The Chair will compile a list from the documents nominated for the 1999 award.
Meeting adjourned at 1:15 p.m.
Next meeting date: December 4, 1999. (The December 4 meeting was canceled. The next meeting will be February 4, 2000.)
Respectfully submitted,
Susan Sabatino
